There are a lot of diseases whose causes are unknown and remedies are not fully developed. But Ayurveda considers each disease as an imbalance in any of the three essential humours of the body – vata, pitha and kapha. Psoriasis is a major skin disease, which too is described by Ayurveda in terms of imbalance of vata, pita and kapha. Ayurveda practitioners will prescribe detoxification as a remedy for psoriasis and the major procedure used in it is Panchakarma.

Psoriasis patients are advised to go through a much regulated diet prescribed by the Ayurvedic practitioners. Intake of medicated ghee and herbal medicines is also part of psoriasis ayurvedic treatment Panchakarma includes induced vomiting and purgation (vamana and virechana respectively) and these methods help remove toxins from our body to a certain extent. Apart from this, abhayangam (body massage), pizhichil , medicated enemas, dhara etc too are conducted as part of Panchakarma treatment in order to curb psoriasis.

Some people say that there is a possibility for psoriasis patients to be affected by another health disorder called psoriasis arthritis. Apart from the symptoms of psoriasis, it also results in pain and inflammation in the joints. Ayurveda provides effective treatment to this disease also.

The help for finding the authentic Ayurveda experience can be sought from experts who promote Delhi Ayurveda Delhi Ayurveda along with packages for Kerala Ayurveda and such other related experiences for well-being. Generally such experts shall offer a detailed website and would like to know of your understanding and comfort with Ayurveda treatments. One needs to be wary of agents who recommend Panchakarma treatments at the drop of a hat. While it is a fact that a Panchakarma treatment has no after-effects when administered to a healthy person but the price difference between a soothing and rejuvenation massage and a Panchakarma treatment at a decent centre can be huge. A certain degree of awareness is required in recommending Ayurveda treatments / packages and the experts do not shy away from seeking the Ayurveda Doctor’s advice if there is need for a second opinion.
