Bob Harrison, a techno-savvy person, based in New Zealand, spent his vacation in Kerala during the last July/August. He witnessed the skies opening up over the palm fringed beaches as well as on the bustling markets. He saw the various shades of monsoon with dark clouds suddenly hovering over the skies and hiding the bright sun rays. He was also bewitched by the beauty of a rainbow painting the sky with its seven colours at Marine Drive in Kochi.

During his trip to the inlands of Kerala, he saw children launching their paper boats in the little streams created by rain in their courtyard. And he was also lucky to have a guide who is well versed in Malayalam literature and he introduced Bob to some famous Malayalam poems on monsoon, which were powerful enough to create a monsoon magic even in a foreigner’s mind.

But what captured his attention most was one particular habit of Keralites – that is, undergoing Ayurvedic treatment during monsoon. He noticed that Keralites change their diet during monsoon and he also tried the medicinal gruel, karkidaka kanji, which is considered very healthy during the rains. He himself underwent a rejuvenating Ayurvedic therapy at an Ayurvedic resort in Kerala and found himself fresh and energetic in body and spirit.
And once back in New Zealand, when some friends asked Bob what impressed him most in Kerala, pat came the reply, ``it is definitely the ayurveda kerala.’’

Ayurveda is anancient form of Hindu medicine which was first used during the Vedic age. The significance of Ayurveda lies in ‘Science of Life’. This is a substitute to other forms of treatment and remained the primary system of medicine for decades.
Ayurveda in Kerala is very popular because of different reasons. The primary reason is the availability of natural elements like herbs, minerals, oils, etc. used by the practitioners in Ayurveda. Along with the beautiful environment, the state acts as a wonderful platform to offer the ultimate experience to the patients.
The natural beauty of Kerala works wonders for Ayurveda. The calm and serene surroundings work wonders for the treatment.Take Kerala Tour Packages For More Experience.
