Over the past several months I have been testing the free security package from Microsoft (MSE) for Windows based machines http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/ and have found that it does an excellent job of detecting malware and other security threats. I have in the past used Webroot, AVG, Norton and Mcafee and Believe that MSE does an equally good job leading me to wonder why it necessary to spend money on something that is free!
