First of all, make sure you lose or gain weight because it is your wish and not to please somebody. If your motive is the latter, then you would not be motivated enough to change your eating habits. In fact, if you fail in your weight loss attempt, you may be pushed to eat more and thereby gain more weight. Begin your weight control program the natural way and eat with an optimistic attitude and belief in yourself. Self-confidence and motivation determines your success ratio to a great extent.

Start with learning about the nutritive value of different foods. This is just the effort part where you need to search on the nutrients contained in different foods. Browse the internet, go to a library, a number of sources will help you find out the same. Weight loss is only possible if you are healthy, happy and fit. Eat the food you enjoy! As most people are unaware about the nutritive values of different foods, they tend to eat food which does not offer sufficient nutrients to the body. Such people tend to feel hungry even after having a large meal. Most diets that ask you to starve the body actually are doing more worst than good. It is giving a message to the body that there will be no food. In such cases, the body starts drawing off the muscles and would store the fats for using it later. This way your body metabolism rate slows down and you tend to burn fat slowly.

It takes about 3-6 months to lose weight. After you lose it there is no looking back as you are aware about the foods to eat for nutrition and health. Do at least half an hour of exercise three days a week for weight control. This together with proper diet will ensure you don’t gain weight and maintain the lost weight.

I do agree with carolyn that need to understand whether we have to lose weight or not . If we want to do this we should have to be careful in food selection and should also keep in mind the exercise which would be helpful in weight loss . So For this purpose we can take light foods which includes fruits and vegetables specifically . Then we may go for exercise such as Running .

Over weight is become a common problem in these days. Many people don't known about what to eat and what not to eat. This lack of information create many difficulties and problem for them. And result in over weight or fat level with in body. Here I write some important tips and tricks to reduce weight:-

First of all do regular exercise for 30 to 40 mints.
Go on walk,
Neglect all the fat and over cholesterol foods items.
Use fresh fruits and boiled vegetables mostly.
Drink 8 to 10 glasses of water.
Don't take rest after dinner. It is biggest reason of increase weight.
Avoid smoking and other bad habits.
