The lose of a Family member or friend - 03 Feb 2013 07:34 AM
This morning 2/2/2013 my loving little bird Willie passed away after several days of seizures, it was difficult to watch him go through this but I am sure holding him in my hand through most of it was hopefully comforting and helped to take away some of the fear he had. He was my buddy and brought me more joy than you could ever imagine from the day he picked me by flying onto my balcony and for 17 years he made me laugh, entertained me and gave me unconditional love. He hung out in my hand or on my shoulder or played hide and seek behind my computer monitor. He will be forever missed and always in my heart. For those of you who knew him he was a clown and a show-off and taught me unbelievable lessons about life - gentleness, sweetness and tremendous patience.
I am so sad that you have gone from my life, for you were the love of my life. From the moment we set eyes on each other I knew it was fate that brought us together. I have often wondered how a creature weighing less than an ounce and standing 6 inches tall could capture my heart so completely but it was so easy. Bobbing your head, jumping up and down, spinning in circles, peeking out from the top of my tee shirt, attacking my wedding ring or pencils - so many fun memories. Your chirp was always a welcoming greeting and while it sometimes annoyed me to no end I never ever thought of doing you any harm. I miss you so much and will forever hear your greeting chirp when I came in the door.
