Suicide

I’m not sure if this is the place to talk about this but suicide is something that has been on my mind off and on again since high school back in 1980. At the moment I’m down, like always, but certainly not dangerously a the moment. Personally I’m very mild tempered and quite and easy going. Anyway when I wake up in the morning and when I come in from work I’m always so very sad and lonely. All my life I have been something of a loner and I have always been shy with strangers. I think I read somewhere premature babies have a high chance of being loners? I think they were right. I can in at 1lb 10oz. All my life I stayed in the back of the class and kept my mouth shut. Now when I get home all I do is read or I go and do something on the computer. The since of futility of it all has been increasing, it’s even affecting my job. I have such a why bother attitude about everything.

My “close” friends are few, perhaps 5! Unfortunately they all live on the west coast. Last year I had one call from one of these friends. That was it! Really! As for those I work with I have no issues with any of them especially now that I’m use to them. It takes me a while to get use to a stranger. Many of the women at work are surprised that I’m not married? Unfortunately what or how can you tell someone that you’re a virgin and you haven’t even been on a date or kissed a girl? Did I mention that when I can get really nervous, I get all choked and I can even pick up a little bit of a stutter! So far all the women that I have asked out have replied with “I’m sorry but I’m seeing someone” or just laughed. I jut thought that someone would have shown a little interest by now. I would love to find a best friend like that one who is as much interested in me as I am in them? I have such a feeling now that my time is up and that I fighting a loosing battle on this. I’m so tired of being sad I just wish I could find a woman who wasn’t so quick to slam the door.

This is just a brief taste of my issues with shyness, stutter, job issues and lack of companionship. What I’m asking is do therapists really work? I just can’t get a grasp on how talking to someone about all this could help. It sounds so weird; on the other hand my life hasn’t been normal that’s for sure.

Thanks for listening!

Suicide is never a solution to the problem. If you are feeling alone, you should search for some interesting things as per your taste. You should spent time in that so that you always feel as if you are busy.
